Mercantile Marine Department Circular To ALL OWNERS OF FISHING BOATS

Directive of the Prime Minister has been received through Fisheries Development Commissioner, Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Food, Agriculture & Livestock (Livestock Wing) Islamabad, wherein it is requested to implement the following decision on priority basis.

Decision No.3

"Re-registration of the fishing boats by the Mercantile Marine Department, Ministry of Pors and Shipping, to seek out non-operative and sub-standard boats and up gradation of two hundred boats".

In compliance of above decision, all Fishing Boats Owners are advised to arrange for inspection of their fishing boats and get re-registration certificate from Mercantile Marine Department, 70/4, Timber Hard, N.M. Reclamation, Keamari, Karachi, within 3 (three) months from the date of issue of this circular, failing which the registration certificates of their fishing boats shall be cancelled and concerned authorities shall be informed accordingly.

Please note that no inspection and re-registration fee shall be charged.
