FEDERAL MINISTER'S MESSEGE:
Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari

Globally, the maritime sector has played a vital role in the economic development of many nations. Ports play a prominent role as 90% of global trade is seaborne. Pakistan is no exception. Our country is blessed with a coastal belt stretching over 1050 KM. With two ports in Karachi and a third port at Gwadar, Pakistan is ideally and strategically poised to become a regional economic hub. It is my passion to unlock the untapped marine resources and transform Pakistan into a leading maritime nation. I seek guidance from Almighty Allah and support from my fellow countrymen to give me strength and courage to accomplish this mission.

FEDERAL SECRETARY:
Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda

Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda (BS-21) officer of Pakistan Customs Service (PCS), assumed the look after charged of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Maritime Affairs. He is joined civil service in 1989. He has vast professional experience in Senior Management positions in diversified fields such as Custom Administration, FBR Policy Board and Trade & Commerce etc. He has attained a Degree of MBBS from Dow Medical College Karachi and LLB from SM Law College Karachi.

MS. Alia Shahid

MS. Alia Shahid has more than 20 years of executive experience. She has done her Masters in International Development from the United Kingdom. She has served in various capacities both at the Federal and Provincial levels. She has served as Secretary to the Government of Sindh for Departments of Education, Boards & Universities, Social Welfare and Women Development. At the federal government, she has served as Joint Secretary in the Ministries of Kashmir Affairs & Northern Areas, Overseas Pakistanis Human Resource Development and Establishment Division. Committed to continuous professional development, she has undergone a number of national and international training programs and has recently attended the Senior Managers in Government course from Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Mr. Syed Salman Raza

Syed Salman Raza is a senior Merchant Navy Officer qualified MBA (Master of Business Administration (International Management) from Geneva Business School. He is a certified International Purchasing Consultant (CIPC), Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) and Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) from International Purchasing & Supply Chain Management Institute and American Purchasing Society respectively. He has sailed up to the level of Chief Engineer Management level (January 2000-January 2011), served as a Director/Dy Director of ISPS and Engineer & Ship Surveyor, Ministry of Maritime Affairs from 2011 to 2014. Served as DPA / Technical Manager, Saud Shipping DMCC Dubai, UAE from 2014 to 2021. Currently, he is posted as Principal Officer of Mercantile Marine Department, Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Karachi from 2021 to date.
