Mercantile Marine Department Circular No. 01/2007.

The office of the Mercantile Marine Department (Sub-Office Gwadar) has been established by the Government of Pakistan under the provision of Section-3 of Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 2001 and has start functioning w.e.f. 19th March 2007. The Department is located at second floor of Gwadar Port Authority building Gwadar.

The Department shall be headed by Principal Officer, Mercantile Marine Department, Karachi and shall perform its duties under the control of Directorate General Ports & Shipping.

The Engineer & Ship Surveyor of the Sub-Office Gwadar shall look after the functions of the Mercantile Marine Department at Gwadar.
